Alexandra Hotel
Six-storey hotel building over a partial basement. This was an entire precast concrete structural framework utilising beams, columns, slab units and cladding panels.
An innovative use of very long span precast hollowcore units was utilized to form the bedrooms over at all levels. This long span at each level removed the necessity for heavy transfer structure and gave a 15m clear primary function room area at lower ground floor and clear areas at ground floor for restaurant and bars.
