Residential
Railway Street, Ballymena
O’Connor Sutton Cronin are providing the structural advice and design for this major residential development.
The development consists of approximately 200 houses and apartments. Major work is being carried out on the site to lift the habited area above the floodplain and reduce the level of the river bank to allow for possible future flood waters. This solution has been carefully considered with consultation with the River’s Agency. The buildings are either piled or founded on strip footings on lean mix. The superstructure is generally precast hollowcore floors and masonry walls with timber roofing.
