44 Storey Office Tower, 1 Park Place, Canary Wharf
O’Connor Sutton Cronin have been engaged for the construction of a new 44 storey office tower over a double basement.
This project has recently commenced and is currently at scheme design stage. OCSC have completed 3 scheme design options which are currently being priced by the quantity surveyor. The columns are set out on a 9m grid and OCSC have provided a post tensioned flat slab and composite metal deck floor slab solutions. Due to the slenderness of the structure, both the internal stair and lift cores and the external structural frame, acting as a tube, will provide lateral stability to the building and limit movement of the building at high level.
A Phase 1 Geotechnical and Land Contamination Assessment is complete are a desk top study is currently being carried out on the listed canal wall structures.
